Before You Wash
Location and Time
  • Wash once a week or as often as you need to, in the shade, if possible.

    Get the proper tools.
  • Use two different sponges or mitts—one for the car and one for the tires.

  • Wash with warm water.

Set jet-spray setting and rinse before soaping the car.
  • The jet spray helps power away tough dirt and grime, and helps cool the car's surface—which can help keep the soap from drying while washing.

Don't use other soaps in the Mr. Clean AutoDry system.
  • They can mix with remaining Mr. Clean AutoDry Soap in the system and cause your device to clog, or may result in a sticky residue on your car's surface. Use of other soaps voids the spot-free and money back guarantees.

    During the Wash
Know what comes first: the wheels.
  • Wash the wheels and tires first. Otherwise, you could splash up dirt from your wheels onto your nice, clean car. This is only the case if you use two different sponges. If you use only one, wash the body first, wheels second.

    Wash in sections.
  • Within each section, wash from the top to the bottom.

Spray soap on your wash mitt and your car before you scrub each section.
  • You'll retain visible suds throughout the wash process.

Keep it clean. Your mitt, that is.
  • Mr. Clean AutoDry lifts dirt away from your car and pulls it into your mitt. Therefore, it is a good idea to rinse your mitt with the rinse setting in-between washing different sections, and soap up the mitt again before starting a new section.

  • Do not let soap dry on your car.
  • If it happens, rewash that area and follow up with the filter spray.

No special exterior window cleaner needed here!
  • Mr. Clean AutoDry can be used on your windows for a shiny, spot-free finish.

When you're rinsing, don't forget the mirrors.
  • Spray side mirrors with Mr. Clean AutoDry Filter Spray for a spot-free shine.

When using the Mr. Clean AutoDry Filter Spray, stay within 1 foot/30 cm of your car.
  • Spray in a back-and-forth motion until regular rinse water has been rinsed away.

    After You Wash
If through accidental misuse you see residue or water marks on your car after it dries, immediately reclean that area.

Clean mitt by rinsing it out with water.
  • For a thorough clean, try washing your mitt in the washing machine with Tide® Liquid.

Store your Mr. Clean AutoDry Pro-Series device in its case, and store the case upright.
  • If you don't, soap could leak from the device.

When storing your Mr. Clean AutoDry Carwash, stow it with the soap cap facing up.

    Check your filter frequently.
  • If the filter indicator window is completely brown, throw it away and get a new one.
